For a washroom basin a long way from the boiler, where hot water arrives late and lukewarm. The Redring Powerstream RPS108 is a 10.8kW instant water heater that fits in the cupboard under the sink and heats mains water only while the tap runs, so there is no tank and no standing heat loss. It suits hand basins in offices, schools, care homes, gyms, cloakrooms and en-suites, and can feed two basins. This model is the middle of the range, giving a hotter outlet at the same flow where the incoming mains is cold in winter.
Important: the RPS108 is hard wired on its own dedicated circuit (45A MCB, 30mA RCD) and has no plug, so it must be installed by a qualified electrician to BS 7671. It is for hand washing, not for filling baths or washing up.
