Heathfield Yew 6ft LED T8 Tube, Emergency Compatible, 26W, 6000K daylight
Emergency fittings are often the last fluorescent tubes left in a building, because most LED tubes have no way to take an emergency supply. The Yew does: it runs from the mains day to day and has a separate emergency input at the other end, so a 6ft emergency fitting can move to LED without being replaced. It gives 2600 lumens from 26W and starts instantly with no flicker or hum.
How it wires
Single-end fed: mains live and neutral go to the end marked with the label, and the emergency supply connects to the opposite, non-label end. It works with the Heathfield LED emergency conversion pack, which gives 3 hour battery backup. The fitting's fluorescent ballast and starter are taken out of circuit, so the conversion must be done by a qualified electrician, the fitting labelled as converted to LED, and the emergency lighting tested in line with BS 5266.
