Osram
The OSRAM name was registered in 1906 coined from osmium and wolfram (tungsten), the two materials that made their revolutionary new filament possible making it one of the oldest and most respected lighting brands in the world. Founded as a company in 1919 through the merger of Germany's three great electrical manufacturers, Siemens, AEG and Auergesellschaft, OSRAM spent over a century pioneering every major step in lighting technology, from tungsten filaments and halogen to compact fluorescent and LED. Today the OSRAM brand continues under licence through LEDVANCE, maintaining the same exacting engineering standards that professionals and homeowners have trusted for more than 120 years. At Light Shop Direct we stock a wide selection of genuine OSRAM lamps across multiple technologies and formats including LED light bulbs, Osram halogen light bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps and specialist bulbs. The iconic OSRAM 1906 vintage filament range brings together authentic filament aesthetics and modern LED efficiency, ideal for pendant fittings, decorative lamps and statement lighting. Whether you need a reliable everyday GLS bulb, a fluorescent tube replacement or a premium specialist lamp, OSRAM delivers consistent, high-quality light output backed by a heritage no other brand can match. Free UK delivery on all orders over £50.
